What are Custom Orthotics

Custom orthotics are medical-grade insoles designed specifically for your feet. They help correct alignment, reduce pain, and improve function by providing targeted support for conditions like plantar fasciitis, flat feet, arthritis, and more. Unlike over-the-counter inserts, custom orthotics are expertly prescribed by a podiatrist and fabricated using a combination of clinical expertise and either 3D foot scanning or, in some cases, traditional plaster molds - resulting in a truly bespoke device tailored to your specific needs.

I have had custom made orthotics for several years and have visited two separate podiatrists. On this occasion I decided to try someone new and selected Dr. Riar. Often a good indication of the quality of the practice is the office manager/receptionist etc and when I phoned to book an appointment I was treated very courteously and professionally. When I met Dr. Riar for my appointment I found him to be the ideal doctor. He was professional, knowledgable and most importantly, took the time to discuss my foot issue and make an accurate assessment. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would certainly return to and recommend Dr. Riar.
