What is
Pediatric Care

Children’s feet are still growing and developing, which means early assessment and treatment can prevent long-term issues. We care for a wide range of pediatric foot concerns - from intoeing gait and flat feet to congenital conditions and growth-related pain like Sever’s disease. Whether your child is experiencing discomfort or you're simply unsure about how their feet are developing, we're here to provide expert guidance and gentle, age-appropriate care.

How It Works

Step 1

Developmental Foot Evaluation

  • Comprehensive history from pregnancy to each milestone (ex. crawling, walking)
  • Investigating habits (ex. sitting/sleeping positions)
  • Gait Assessment and Physical Exam

Step 2

Partnered Pediatric Support

  • Building a child friendly plan
  • Coordinating appropriate care (ex. Physiotherapy, Orthotists)

Step 3

Clear Follow-Up for Parents

  • Providing thorough after visit summaries
  • Reinforcing plan for parents
  • Leave confident and informed

FAQ

A:

Intoeing is common in young children and often resolves on its own as they grow. However, if it’s persistent, causes tripping, or affects confidence or activity levels, a podiatric assessment can help determine if treatment is needed.

A:

Pain that’s frequent, activity-limiting, or affecting sleep is not normal and should be evaluated. Conditions like Sever’s disease (heel pain from growth plate inflammation) are common in active children and respond well to early treatment.

A:

Sometimes. If a child’s foot structure or gait is causing discomfort, imbalance, or developmental concerns, custom orthotics or supportive footwear may be recommended to improve alignment and reduce strain during growth.
